About the Role
As a Cook at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, you will assist with a variety of tasks ranging from food preparation and cooking for a café menu serving breakfast and lunch, to group catering for functions and events, as well as baking in-house goods such as pies, cakes, muffins, and slices.
You will ensure all food products are stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with restaurant and government food safety standards. This role also includes primarily evening work to support our Astra Lumina attraction, along with evening shifts in the food truck as required. Availability across seven days per week is essential.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in a commercial kitchen environment, strong attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Experience in fast-paced food preparation with a strong focus on food safety
Ability to work flexibly across a 7- day roster including mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays
Strong time management and ability to stay calm under pressure
Willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery will be highly regarded
